Thoughts of spring...

The calendar says February, and the weather outside sure feels like it. But in here, there are thoughts of spring...

An award! My very first award. I'm honored and flattered. And I'm feeling giddy and gushy. Coco, thank you so much for noticing my new little blog. You placed me in with some very good company, including my friend Jen. Visit Coco at OrdinaryMiracles - she has so much style!

Everyone in the house has been sick for days. It is unusually for all of us to be sick at once - in fact, I think it is a first. Just starting to feel better today.

Bathrooms

We have two full bathrooms in our cottage. This is the upstairs one that is connected to the master bedroom, but it is also shared by the second bedroom upstairs. It is small and hasn't been changed much (or not at all!) since we moved in over 10 years ago. Time for a change...

imPerfection

I feel like I've walked into a big room with lots of people and everyone is having a conversation. The people are talented and witty - and interesting. And there I stand, listening... I'm enjoying the conversation that is whirling around me. But I am silent. That's how I feel so far in starting this blog.

Perfection is something that is a hard thing to maintain. I love it when everything is in the right place and all the i's are dotted and t's crossed. But this is life. There is rarely perfection.

And so it is with my writing. I would like everything that I say here to be witty and interesting, - and perfect - but instead there has been silence. Well - that is no good!

So I'm going to jump in - with my imperfection - and just go!
